Eating Cat

“An Edmonton teen who killed a cat and cooked parts of it in a ravine has been sentenced to 10 months in jail.”

“This was a brutal and senseless killing of an innocent and defenseless animal,” provincial court Judge Donna Groves said, according to the Edmonton Journal. “These activities are so egregious, they fall into the category of unspeakable.”

Hummphhrrrr…Judge Donna probably had a ham sandwich for lunch and has no idea how silly she sounds to those of us who are no longer dissonant! ALL animals are “INNOCENT”, ALL animals are “DEFENSELESS” against human domination, and ALL killing is “BRUTAL”. Most people believe they love ‘animals’ when they clearly are not demonstrating love or compassion for any animals other than dogs and cats. Why does this story bother some people but the sight of the dead flesh of other brutally killed animals does not give them pause for even one moment to consider the suffering involved?

This story and this brutality is no more nor less of what most people are putting in their mouths or wearing on their bodies every day. If this story is as abhorrent as the public thinks it is (and I agree it is awful), then most of society needs to be put in JAIL immediately for the acts of animal cruelty that they perpetuate daily. Irrational groupthink and self-defensive denial doesn’t change the reality of the cruelty nor absolve each individual from responsibility.

Stop discriminating against innocent, defenseless souls - use RATIONAL thought, and GO VEGAN.

There is no difference between a dog and a cat or any other sentient being, except in the unexamined mind.
